New York, New York

I recently had the pleasure of visiting New York City for the first time in my life. I've wanted to get out there for a while, but I just now got around to it. It was a lot of fun and I took a lot of photos. I did try to cut back on the photos a little bit and just be in the moment and experience some things without snapping photos as often.

The first day out there, it was raining all day so we tried to go to MOMA. There were way too many people so we decided against that. We walked around for a little while, got some lunch at Lindy's, and tried to wait out the rain. Well, it didn't look like it was going to stop until 5pm, so we went and played some pool for a few hours. After that we stopped in New York Beer Company to grab a drink. I was getting pretty antsy for a reason that I will get to in a moment. After having a beer, we started walking to go check out Central Park. We walked through part of Times Square, and got to see a few other attractions on the way. When we finally got to the park, we walked around for a bit until we came to a quiet little bridge where nobody was around. This is were I proposed to my girlfriend, Kate. This is the reason that I was getting so antsy. Anyways, she said yes and it couldn't have turned out any better.

The first day was the day, that I really wanted to turn out well. I was able to sit back and relax the rest of the trip. We tried to keep the normal tourist attractions to a minimum, but we did get to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, see the World Trade Center footprints, sail by the Statue of Liberty (and the rest of NYC), and more. We went to a couple of punk rock shows, had dinner on a boat, checked out the old CBGB, had some slices of pizza, etc. All in all, we had a great time, and I have a lot of photos to prove it. Here are just a couple.
